The fight for Libya’s oil

Gaddafi’s troops hit oil facility, fuelling fear over Benghazi’s ability to deliver.

As the first tanker is due into the port of Tobruk, forces reportedly loyal to Muammar Gaddafi attack oil facilities in the south.

With the huge revenues available from oil sales potentially holding the power to swing the fight for Libya one way or the other, pressure to protect refineries is mounting.

Laurence Lee reports from Benghazi on the anger being fuelled in eastern Libya.
