Iceland harnesses volcanic power for export
Hopes that geothermal project will boost country’s struggling economy.

It has been more than a year since a volcano in Iceland grounded flights across Europe.
Now Landsvirkjun, the country’s biggest power company, is hoping to harness that geothermal energy for export.
The project would cost billions of dollars, but with oil prices spiralling ever higher, it could boost Iceland’s struggling economy.
