Pakistani workers in Bahrain live in fear

The presence of fellow countrymen in the local police force has made them the target of mobs.

Pakistani construction workers in Bahrain are living in fear as many of them have allegedly been attacked by lynch mobs in the wake of the country’s uprising.

Many policemen in Bahrain are from Pakistan and are believed to be associated with the crackdown against anti-government protesters.

These workers have nowhere to go as their passports have been seized by their employers.
