In the US state of Nevada, locals are using abandoned residences to grow marijuana.

The economic downturn in the US has resulted in, among other things, a huge number of houses left vacant by foreclosure.

And some people are trying to cash in on the US housing crisis, by turning abandoned homes into marijuana-growing houses.

Al Jazeera’s Rob Reynolds reports on the phenomenon from Las Vegas, Nevada.
