Bishop of London appeals to Occupy protesters

Occupy London protesters say they will continue to camp outside St Paul’s Cathedral despite an appeal by bishop.

Anti-capitalist protesters camped outside St Paul’s Cathedral in London say they will stay put, despite a personal appeal from the Bishop of London.

The Occupy London camp, set up two weeks ago, has divided public opinion – and the church.

Two clergymen from the cathedral resigned over the threat that the camp will be forcibly removed, while those who want the protestors moved argue that St Paul’s is not just a church, but that it is a national monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
