With no emails, instant messaging, or social networking, BlackBerry users in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and India suffered a communication’s blackout on Monday.
The service disruption could not have come at worse time for Candian firm Research in Motion or RIM – the makers of the device – which faces stiff competition for corporate users as well as regular customers.
Last month, RIM had to deal with another disruption of its messenger service in the Americas.
