Prosecutors allege metal on runway from earlier Continental flight triggered crash.

Five men and the US carrier, Continental Airlines, are set to go on trial in Paris over the crash of an Air France Concorde flight, which killed 113 people 10 years ago.

The tragedy brought an end to the world’s only supersonic commercial flights.

A French inquiry in 2004 stated the crash was caused by a piece of metal left on the runway by a Continental flight, which took off before Air France. Continental, however, has challenged that finding.

Al Jazeera’s Alan Fisher reports on the case.
