Indonesia is planning to tighten regulations regarding its nationals working abroad.
The move comes after an upsurge in the number of people reporting abuse at the hands of their foreign employers.
Many of these are Indonesian maids working in the Gulf countries.
Al Jazeera’s Step Vaessen reports from the police hospital in Jakarta where abused Indonesians returning from abroad are taken to recover.
