Floods erode Pakistan cotton income

With acres of the crop swept away, textile exports worth billions of dollars may be lost.

Every year, the textile industry pumps billions of dollars into Pakistan’s economy and provides employment to tens of millions of people.

However, the floods have destroyed acres of cotton crop and caused the country to lose billions of dollars worth of potential textile exports.
