Russian demand for stem cells grows
Moscow creates special section on Russia’s stock market to help fund research.

The name “stem cell” was first coined by a Russian in 1908.
More than 100 years later, Russian scientists are still investigating how stem cells can help cure fatal diseases.
To support their endeavours, the Russian government has created a special section on the nation’s stock market to help fund ongoing research, helping spur demand for the storing of cord blood stem cells.
