Russia's car industry suffers from slumping demands amid global economic slowdown.

    Russia's car industry is in a serious skid with its biggest car maker Avtovaz looking to a new chief executive to shift gears amid collapsing sales.

    The company, which makes the iconic Lada, has been hit hard by the global economic crisis.

    Al Jazeera's Neave Barker reports from Moscow where efforts are being focused on kickstarting car sales.
