Victoria Tauli-Corpuz

Victoria Tauli-Corpuz has been the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples since 2014. She is an indigenous leader from the Kankanae... morey Igorot people of the Cordillera Region in the Philippines. A former Chair of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, she helped build the indigenous peoples' movement in the Cordillera as a youth activist in the early 1970s and later established and led the Tebtebba Foundation (Indigenous Peoples' International Center for Policy Research and Education).
