Sithembile Mwamakamba coordinates FANRPAN's climate smart agriculture policy research and advocacy projects. Her work focuses on raising investment in... , and policy support for climate-smart agriculture. She has led case studies on current and emerging youth policies and initiatives with a focus on links to agriculture in ten countries in Sub Saharan Africa. Between 2009 -2012, she led the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded Women Accessing Realigned Markets (WARM) project aimed at strengthening the capacity of women farmers to advocate for policy change. She is a member of the Farming First Steering Committee, a global coalition advocating for the sustainable advancement of agriculture. Sithembile holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Cape Town.
