Dr Marat Iliyasov is a Chechen scholar specialising in the Caucasus. He is currently Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of the Holy Cross. Hi... mores research focuses on authoritarianism and radicalisation in the North Caucasus, as well as the dynamics of peace and conflicts in the South Caucasus. Dr Iliyasov previously worked in the non-governmental sector promoting civil society, peace, and democracy in the Caucasus.
