Poborsky pulls pin

Czech Republic midfielder Karel Poborsky has announced his retirement from international football.

A man of many talents: Karel Poborsky

The veteran holds a record 118 caps for the Czech Republic, but saw his side's disappointing exit from the World Cup as the catalyst for his decision.

The former Manchester United and Lazio star will concentrate on his club football with Ceske Budejovice where he juggles his role of a player with that of General Manager and Executive President.

Poborsky won his first cap in 1994.
