Tennis players have been given a 10 percent increase in prize money at Wimbledon this year, with nearly $3m each going to the winners of the men's and ladies' singles events.

Tennis players have been given a 10 percent increase in prize money at Wimbledon this year with nearly $3m each going to the winners of the men's and ladies' singles events.

Organisers made the move to counter the depreciating effect of Brexit on the British pound.
