City have bragging rights over United following a straightforward 3-0 win at the Etihad.

Away from the Manchester derby, India have defeated fierce rivals Pakistan by seven wickets in Dubai.

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been giving his reaction to Sky Sports:

“We have to look at what we did well, and obviously it’s not enough as we want to win games. What we did here today is not enough to get the result, and that is all we can take from this game.”

On what United need to do better: “We need to score goals and not concede. We keep creating chances to score, and we are not able to score as much as we want and we have to be more in control in certain situations. We conceded three goals that we could have avoided.”

On if United are heading in the right direction: “The result is very bad and bad on us, but I think there are two ways of looking at this game, as the goals could have been avoided. On the ball, we were positive, brave and playing the ball forward.

“We wanted what City got – the three points. City were smart to get the goals the way they did and have a very good team and very good players.”

Goal scorers Phil Foden and Erling Haaland have been speaking to Sky Sports following City’s win.

Here is what they had to say:

Foden on winning the game for late boxer Ricky Hatton: “I had extra motivation going into the game. It was for him and his family and the lads made sure that we gave everything. The way we all ran it was all for him and we were delighted with the result.”

Foden on the criticism he has faced this season: “There’s been a lot of talk, everything I see at the moment is quite negative. But that is the world we live in when you play at the highest level. It’s about reading those comments and trying to react as best as I can and come back to my level.”

Foden on Haaland: “A complete performance, especially the way he held up the ball. He did everything today: defending, attacking, running in behind, doing the dirty work.”

Haaland on City’s desire today: “You could feel it as well from the fans. We needed it [the win], you could feel a bit extra today, and I am so relieved and so happy that we managed to do this all together.”

We aren’t able to get United into this top 10 graphic, as they currently sit 14th on just four points.

Liverpool lead the way following their late win at Burnley.

City’s Norwegian giant was in fine form as he scored two goals to see off United on derby day.

He almost had a hat-trick, but he somehow missed from very close range.

A word, too, on his defending. Haaland was constantly on the end of crosses into the City area, proving invaluable at both ends of the pitch.

Ruben Amorim leads the United players over to the few remaining away fans in the Etihad.

Meanwhile, the City players are enjoying some big celebrations with their fans.

Guardiola enjoys a hug with Phil Foden. City fans will be very happy to see that.
