Pakistan’s journalists vow to fight against increasing censorship

Pakistan‘s ruling party has claimed critical coverage in the media is not freedom of speech, but “treason”.

Those comments are likely to further anger civil liberties activists, who have said Prime Minister Imran Khan‘s government has been trying to suppress journalists.

Khan’s government is in the middle of what it claims is an anti-corruption campaign, but critics have called it a masquerade to crush dissent.
