Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has officially filed his papers to run in the presidential election in March.
The submission comes as potential rival Khalid Ali has withdrawn from the race – saying conditions did not allow for a fair contest.
Other candidates have been arrested or have also withdrawn from the race.
