Trump: North Korea 'ruled as a cult'

He referred to North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un as "Little Rocket Man" and said it was a country "ruled as a cult", where people still die of hunger and are tortured in labour camps.

US President Donald Trump says South Korea has agreed to buy more US military equipment after holding talks with officials in Seoul, that were dominated by the threat of North Korea's nuclear weapons programme.

In a news conference, Trump warned Pyongyang not to underestimate Washington.

He referred to North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un as "Little Rocket Man" and said it was a country "ruled as a cult", where people still die of hunger and are tortured in labour camps.
