Big developers are buying up government land in Hong Kong at a record rate.
But one of the city’s last indigenous communities is standing up to them to save their village and heritage.
400-year-old Pokfulam village housed the city’s first dairy, now defunct, and is still home to over 2,800 residents.
The residents have decided to turn to the public for help in saving their village, drawing public attention to the heritage that could be lost in moments if developers take the land.
