Senegal child marriage: 'I am not angry at my mother any more'

Marriage before the age of 18 is common in rural Senegal, where nearly one in every three girls is married as a child. Child marriage is defined as a marriage where one or both parties are under the age of 18.

The World Bank and Save the Children say that nearly 20,000 underage girls are married every day around the world. 

Al Jazeera met Ndey, a West African child bride, who shared her story with us.
