Europe's weather has been strange this year.
It has been extremely wet and windy in the western areas, with record February rainfall in some countries.
Even more remarkable has been the warm weather which has dominated eastern countries.
Parts of Germany have not seen a single day of snow for the first time in living memory and Russia has recorded its warmest winter in 140 years. Moscow was warmer still, with the average winter temperature an incredible 7.5C above normal.
Although colder weather has returned to eastern areas, there are signs of spring being just around the corner.
