 | Lawrence Lessig – Professor, Stanford Law School Lawrence Lessig is a Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and founder of the school’s Center for Internet and Society. Prior to joining the Stanford faculty, he was the Berkman Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, and a Professor at the University of Chicago. Professor Lessig is the author of Code: Version 2.0 (2006), Free Culture (2004), The Future of Ideas (2001) and Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace (1999). He founded the Creative Commons project, and serves on the board of the Free Software Foundation, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Public Library of Science, and Public Knowledge. He is also columnist for Wired. – | ||
| Seymour Hersh – Writer and Journalist Seymour Hersh is one of America’s premier investigative reporters. He has uncovered some of the most important news stories of our times, and in the process shown America that power, and the exercising of that power on the international stage, comes with a price. Hersh has published eight books, most recently Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib. His book prizes include the 1983 National Book Critics Circle Award, the Los Angeles Times award for biography, and a second Sidney Hillman award, for The Price of Power: Kissinger in the Nixon White House. Hersh has also won two Investigative Reporters & Editors prizes, for the Kissinger book, in 1983, and in 1992 for a study of American foreign policy and the Israeli nuclear bomb program, The Samson Option. In 2004, Hersh won a National Magazine Award for public interest for his three pieces, Lunch with the Chairman, Selective Intelligence, and The Stovepipe. – |
