    Jasim Al-Azzawi
    Before joining Al Jazeera English, Jasim was an anchor for the main evening news at Abu Dhabi TV.

    He also presented the cross-fire type interview programme Muwajaha (Confrontation).

    In addition to numerous interviews with world and regional leaders, he covered the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 and for three weeks he reported from New York City's twin towers ground zero following the attacks of 9/11.

    Jasim was also executive producer of Dunnia, a daily two-hour magazine show from 2001-2003, a programme which was considered a fresh new look on Arab stations.
     
    From 1996 to 1999 Jasim was with MBC in London where he worked as an editor of two successful shows, Dialogue with the West and Agenda.
