It has been 30 years since Egypt and Israel signed a historic peace deal on March 26, 1979. But the anniversary has seen little celebration in Israel and virtually none in Egypt. A comprehensive peace deal between Israel and its other Arab neighbours is as elusive as ever. How did the Egypt-Israel agreement affect the region? And would things have worked out better without the deal?
