Will Gaza get peace from the current negotiations?

Israeli army and the Hamas continue to fire at each other even as Israeli cabinet members meets to discuss a proposed long-term ceasefire with Hamas. Given the right shift in the Israeli politics, is there any hope for peace from this ceasefire proposal? And, if there is a ceasefire agreement, will it hold? How long before the new Israeli government restarts the attack on Gaza? Will Hamas really stop their rocket attacks on Israel?
