Which should be the way forward for the EU?

France has taken over the EU's rotating presidency. Its first challenge will be to salvage the so-called Lisbon treaty which the Irish rejected in a recent referendum. The treaty is meant to reform EU institutions and streamline their decision-making. "There have been errors in the way that Europe has been built," said Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president. Do you agree? How should the EU move forward? Which issues should the union focus on?
