Have the Olympics changed China?

A new airport, an improved city infrastructure, a successfully implemented transportation plan, and the most gold medals won for a single country. These are just a few of the positive changes these year’s Olympic Games have brought to China. And even in the face of human rights abuses all but one of the 205 countries invited to compete at the games arrived in Beijing as did most of the world leaders who initially had been skeptical about China hosting the games. What do you think about the outcome of the Olympic Games for China? Who are the real winners and loosers? Did the games help China to feel more secure as an emerging world power?
