Is the UN doing enough in DR Congo?

The UN has renewed the mandate of its peacekeeping force in DR Congo and will make the protection of the population in the east of the country, where government troops have been battling Tutsi fighters, its priority. The 22,000-strong mission, including soldiers, police and observers, has been accused by rights groups of not doing enough to protect citizens. What more can the peacekeepers do? How can the conflict be resolved?
