The British are obsessed with the weather, particularly in the run up to Christmas.

Whether it will be a white Christmas is a much debated topic and people place large bets on the outcome.

For a white Christmas to be announced in the UK, a single snowflake has to fall in a specific location.

However, this year seeinng any snow is impossible as the weather is extremely mild.

For most people across the UK, this year's mild weather will be accompanied by dry and cloudy conditions. However, in the north, the weather will be rather different, with strong wind and heavy rain.
