The attack on an entertainment resort in the Philippines capital is being labelled a botched robbery. Philippine police have ruled out “terrorism” as a motivator behind the violence.

The attack on an entertainment resort in the Philippines capital is being labelled a botched robbery. Philippine police have ruled out “terrorism” as a motive behind the violence.

Despite police claims, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attack.

At least 38 people were killed in the attack, which took place in the early hours of Friday morning.
