New York gallery puts refugee backpacks, belongings on display

Personal items abandoned by migrants and refugees on their journey to the United States have made their way to an art exhibition in New York.

 

It’s the work of anthropologists and artists who want the US public to get a better understanding of the experience of millions, who’ve left everything behind to chase their own piece of the American dream.
