US conservatives propose bills to restrict abortions

State politicians across the US are introducing laws to restrict – and in some cases ban – abortions.

Many measures would almost certainly be ruled unconstitutional, but anti-abortion activists hope the appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court will help their cause.
