A funeral has been held in Indian-administered Kashmir for a separatist fighter killed in a gun battle with Indian troops.

Tauseef Ahmed Wagay was killed along with three other civilians when Indian troops attacked a house in the southern town of Chadoora on Tuesday.

Control of Kashmir has been divided between India and Pakistan since independence from Britain in 1947.

Separatists want Kashmir to split from Indian control.

On Wednesday, Kashmir's capital of Srinagar was shut down by separatists in protest of the killings in Chadoora.

The separatists are calling for more demonstrations on Friday.
