Gaza starts ‘slowly’ rebuilding

UN says reconstruction materials such as cement are slowly entering the Gaza strip, nearly four months after conflict.

The amount of reconstruction materials being allowed to into Gaza is slowly increasing, the UN has said.

More than 100,000 Palestinians were made homeless this year when Israel bombed Gaza for over 50 days. The UN says a quarter of those whose homes were damaged should have access to cement by the end of the year.
