Israel cancels Palestinian prisoner release

Israel reneges on final prisoner release as peace talk efforts appear on the verge of collapse.

At least 11 protesters have been injured in a confrontation with Israeli forces in the Occupied West Bank after Israel decided to cancel the release of a group of Palestinian prisoners.

The planned release was part of an agreement aimed at kick-starting peace talks, which now appear on the verge of collapse.
