Germany’s pilot strike grounds flights
One-day walkout at Frankfurt airport by Lufthansa’s long-haul pilots forces 1,500 flights to be cancelled.

The German airline Lufthansa has been hit by another 24 hour strike, the latest in a series of walkouts over retirement benefits.
A German court has refused to declare the strikes illegal even though the transport minister says they’re killing the economy.
Al Jazeera’s Simon McGregor-Wood reports from Frankfurt.
