Greek football success belies hard times

National team enjoys continued success despite weakening of domestic league due to bankruptcy and match-fixing.

    Greece's national team continues to experience success despite a decline in the fortunes of the country's football clubs. Many Greek clubs that once spent millions buying top talent went bankrupt in the country's financial crisis, disrupting the sport.
