Syria and Iran to dominate Hollande's US trip

French President Francois Hollande is en route to the US for a state visit.

    French President Francois Hollande is en route to Washington for an official state visit.

    On arrival, Hollande will get the grand reception reserved for the closest allies of the US. Major policy issues the two countries agree on are likely to dominate discussions such as Syria's civil war, Iran's nuclear programme and conflict in Africa.
