Newly declassified documents have shed light on the 1984 shooting of a British policewoman by a gunman inside the Libyan Embassy in London.

Yvonne Fletcher was killed when a gunman opened fire on protesters rallying against Libya’s government.

The declassified file has shown that Libya warned Britain it would not be held responsible if there was violence at the protest.
