UK debates bill limiting political lobbying

Legislation aims to weaken influence of lobbyists but charities claim they will silence pressure groups.

Charities in the UK are warning that a proposed new law could damage the democracy it is designed to protect.
 
The legislation would reduce the amount of influence professional lobbyists have over politicians.
 
But charities are worried it might silence small pressure groups.
