Youth unemployment has reached an all-time high in Italy.

More than 40 percent of young Italians are now out of work, according to government statistics.

The overall jobless figures stands at around 12 percent, as the eurozone's third largest economy is threatened by renewed political chaos.

Al Jazeera's Sonia Gallego reports from Milan.
