For the first time in 15 years Portugal has more people leaving the country than it has arriving here to seek opportunities.

Unemployment has shot up in the past two years so for many people it makes little sense to stay on and face an uncertain future.

Al Jazeera's Sonia Gallego reports from Lisbon.
