Ukraine in talks with Qatar for gas

Eastern European country wants to diversify its energy sources to reduce dependence on Russia.

Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych was in Qatar earlier this week for talks on gas supplies.

The eastern European country wants to diversify its energy sources, so as not to depend so much on Russia. At current prices, the Russian gas is too expensive, and it comes with a host of political strings attached.

Rory Challands reports from Kiev, where he sat down with Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych.
