New footage filmed by asylum seekers appears to show the Australian coastguard towing their boat back towards Indonesia.

The apparent forced repatriation is contentious, not least because the Australian navy stands accused of towing boats in Indonesian territorial waters which is against international law.

Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Jakarta.
