Australian radio host sacked for PM gay jibe

Shock jock asked Gillard if her partner was gay in latest sexism uproar to rock Australian politics.

    An Australian radio presenter has been sacked after asking Prime Minister Julia Gillard about her partner's sexuality.

    He suggested Tim Mathieson might be gay because he is a hairdresser.

    It is the latest in a string of incidents that Gillard has said illustrates sexist attitudes and disrespect for the prime minister’s office being held by a woman.
