Malaysia Hindu festival draws crowd
Devotees and tourists gather annually on capital's Batu Caves to see Thaipusam.

Hundreds of thousands of Malaysian Hindus have gathered in Kuala Lumpur for the annual Thaipusam festival.

It is a time for devotees to pray for good fortune in the coming year but for some followers, the festival is a physical challenge.

Al Jazeera's Azhar Sukri reports from Kuala Lumpur.
