Maduro supporters rally on May Day

Maduro accused of mishandling the situation in Venezuela, but rally shows he retains a level of support.

    May Day in Venezuela kicked off with a massive rally in support of President Nicolas Maduro, as thousands of government supporters gathered in the capital Caracas.

    The show of strength is meant to send a strong message to his opponents in a country that has seen violent protests amid a worsening economy.

    Some people blame Maduro for mishandling the tense situation in Venezuela, but others are still willing to give him a chance.
