The trial of Abu Hamza al-Masri, the former head preacher of a London Mosque, begins in New York later on Monday.

He was extradited from Britain where he was serving seven years for inciting murder and race hate. The US accuses him of conspiring to kidnap tourists in Yemen and of trying to set up al-Qaeda training camps in the state of Oregon.
